Wimbledon Women in BusinessWe are a non profit making group run by the members for members
In need of sound business advice & support?Start realising the full potential of your business
Diverse membershipincludes well established businesses, as well as new enterprises
WWIB has evolved dramatically since its conception in April 2003, to a membership of 30. Co-founders Lucy Martin and Cate Newnes-Smith believed that there was a demand for a group focusing on the issues faced by women in business.

Meetings are held once a month in Wimbledon Village on a Wednesday night. Group members, whose businesses range from interior design to IT support, congregate over a glass of wine to share experiences, discuss and resolve common business issues and concerns whilst promoting their businesses to other members and their network of contacts. The only criterion for joining is doing business in (rather than living in) the Wimbledon area, and the nature of the business not overlapping with another member.

Membership fees stand at £80 per member, and £15 for the second person of a partnership. There is no requirement to attend every meeting, but a reasonable attendance is encouraged in order to prevent a slot being unfarily held by a non-attending member.

A speaker is invited to every other meeting and the talks are held focusing on business issues and areas of interest to the group.

The group is affiliated with the Wimbledon Business Group and has links with Merton Chamber of Commerce and Women at Work.
